The Alley
Size: 17’ Wide
Tech: No Electricity or amplified sound
Suitable for: interactive installations, visual art, poetry, small ensemble performances
Audience: High engagement area, standing and walking audience


The Alley stage
Size: 15’x 33
Tech: small amp available, mics, electrical, production assistant available for sound set-up, but no audio tech
Suitable for: performances of dance, theater and poetry for small ensembles, interactive work, installation
Audience: intimate connection with audience, high engagement, standing and ground seating




the street
Lahser between Grand River & Redford
Size: flexible, may use entire street or certain sections, dedicated performance space available. Artists often use sidewalks and storefronts as well!
Tech: electricity, P.A system, amplified sound available, mics and monitors, Audio technicians present at all times
Suitable for: all performance and installation types, architectural installs,
Audience: Very high engagement area, seated, standing and walking audience


The Large Courtyard
Size: 43’ x 39’, carpeted area 22’x30’
Tech: Tech: electricity, P.A system, amplified sound available, mics and monitors, Audio technicians present at all times
Suitable for: all performance types, best suited for dance, music and theater.
Audience: high engagement area, mostly seated audience,



The small Courtyard
Size: 28’x18’
Tech: No Electricity or amplified sound
Suitable for: intimate performances and installations, durational performances, discussions
Audience: this location is nestled deep within the artist village, audience members will need to find you! Typically no more than 20 persons in the space


The Artist Village Theater
Size: 20’ x 14’ (stage)
Tech: electricity, P.A system, amplified sound available, mics and monitors, Audio technicians present at all times, lighting, screen, stage available
Suitable for: performances of all types, film screenings, discussions, panels, workshops
Audience: Medium to high engagement area, chair and couch seating

Under Redford Theater marquee
Tech: No amplified sound or electricity
Suitable for: Theater, acoustic performance, installation art, workshop

Context: The heart of Artist Village and meeting place for the block! This is the main gateway to the festival and houses multiple venues of the Artist Village
Project: Interested in sculpture, street furniture or mural

blight Busters
Context: Artist Village partner and long-time leader in neighborhood rejuvenation and beautification!
Project: Interested in sculpture, street furniture or mural
Sweet Potato Sensations
Context: World famous, family on sweet potato and comfort food restaurant!
Project: Mural for building facade or signature piece for interior
Lahser Sew & Vac
Context: Long-time business owner and staple in community. Home to custom and antique sewing machines.
Project: Requesting sewing machine/fiber art based painting or installation to replace stickers in window
Paul’s barber shop
Context: Long-time business owner and staple in community. Oldest business on the block!
Project: Interested in installations for storefront, plant-themed installations are greatly desired! Also, possible for barber pole art.
